We offer 8+ different powwow dance stylesmainly Traditional, Grass, Chicken, Fancy male & female, Jingle Dress, Hoop and Traditional Female.
Our mission and long term goal is to provide communities with the tools to conquer and overcome obstacles in society. It is essential for the youth of today to become productive members of their community, and be responsible decision-makers. Running Thunder workshops will not only educate youth, but they will also bring awareness to parents, teachers, and people of all ages. Running Thunder workshops will empower youth and provide them with the tools and resources to become productive role models for our future generations.
Running Thunder consists of presenters from different walks of life. From broken homes, abuse, drug and alchol abuse, and gang activity, these presenters tell their stories in hopes of preventing youth from becoming involved in high-risk activities. Also included in the seminars are information sessions. These sessions answer a variety of questions on everyday issues we have trouble overcoming.
These workshops also includes issues such as drug and alchol abuse, bullying, broken homes, foster care, family violence, prostitution, peer pressure and many more!
Adrian LaChance, a Plains Cree from James Smith Cree Nation in Saskatchewan, is a traditional dancer, singer, and helper. Since 1999, Adrian has dedicated his life to supporting and empowering First Nations communities through cultural and life skills programs.
Over the years, Adrian has taken his passion for cultural preservation and personal empowerment across the globe, participating in numerous prestigious events and initiatives.
Adrian played a crucial role in organizing and coordinating cultural activities for this significant event. His efforts ensured that the traditions and wisdom of the elders were honored and shared with the community, fostering a deeper understanding and appreciation of Cree culture.
Adrian has designed and facilitated life skills programs that address the unique needs of First Nations communities. These programs focus on personal development, building self-esteem, and strengthening. His work has had a lasting impact on participants, helping them navigate challenges and achieve their potential.
